Our Vision
The Vision of First Baptist Church of Whitewright is to be characterized by Divine REVELATION, meaningful RELATIONSHIPS, and ministry RELEVANCE. These characterize the life and ministry of our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ, and our vision is to be progressively conformed to His image.
* Characterized by DIVINE REVELATION: God has called us to the “ministry of reconciliation” whereby He is revealing Himself to people and calling them into a relationship with Him. It is in that relationship that we experience deliverance, hope, healing, and victory. In our surrender to the Holy Spirit and obedience to the Word of God (Bible), He continually reveals Himself in and through our lives.
* Characterized by MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIPS: God is an intimately relational God. He has called us into a meaningful and eternal relationship with Him. Our first priority is to love Him with all our heart, soul, and mind and to love others as He has loved us. Our full duty toward God is fulfilled through experiencing and demonstrating His love.
* Characterized by MINISTRY RELEVANCE: Everything that is needed for life presently and eternally is found in our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. He is the only source of deliverance, healing, and life changing truth. As the Body of Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, we resolve to be a ministry presence of Christ’s mercy, grace, and truth in meeting people at their point of need.
